I have a severe tmjd condition. Anterior disc displacement without reduction of the left tmj...I have been locked since June 2023. I have been told by three different oral surgeons based on mri and cone beam scans that I have also have signs of degeneration and flattened condyles. I am currently in my third oral appliance "splint therapy" and have been doing physical therapy sessions with another provider since the beginning of 2024. I have seen dentists, TMJ specialists, oral surgeons, physical therapists, acupuncturists, pain management doctors, ENT doctors, neurologists, and chiropractors...I have tried tried trigger point injections, prolotherapy injections, massage for stress management, ultrasound therapy, electric stim, dry needling (with e-stim), physical therapy, botox, photo bio modulation therapy, craniopathy, and laser therapy. All of which gives some relief, but only to be short lived and hard earned $$$$ gone. I take a regimen of vitamins/supplements (magnesium and vitamin D at night for muscle relaxation) . The TMJ Physical Therapist Dr. T gave me mobility I have not experienced or felt in any other treatment thus far. I went in to this clinical trial like a cold turkey and we agreed to just do twenty minutes of some manual maneuvers... no stim, no heat, no laser, just bare hands manipulating the disc, the jaw, and the tongue.It was different than any other therapists maneuvers I have experienced. My mouth opening when I walked in was 30 mm and I walked out with 34 mm of opening, also more importantly my opening felt smoother. I know those TMJ warriors out there known what I am talking about. This condition is miserable, it is lost between the dental and medical world and most health and dental insurances do not cover much of any of it. I was willing to try this because I have tried almost everything aside from going for surgeries (which I have been recommended for; from arthrocentesis to arthroplasty). I wrote and posted this review to give an open and honest report about the treatment I tried today for whoever out there may be looking into their own situation and willing to try something more outside of the box with this therapist.

Dr Taher is amazing. I'm a mom of 4 with pain on my back, neck and head. On the very first visit he said he can help me fix everything which is so comforting to hear. His beside manners are 10/10. He takes time to listen to you patiently. He really cares about you. He messaged me the next day after evaluation to see how I was feeling. He has great knowledge and will explain everything to you properly. His approach is truly different. I recommend everyone to take the leap and go see him. He's totally worth it.
